INTRODUCTION

The Association ‘Vivante Ardèche’, formed in 1971, has the role of bringing life to the Château de Vogüé, a private property made available to the Association by the de Vogüé family. The objective is to make this site an important cultural centre in southern Ardèche for heritage (as a museum and for public visits to the château) and for arts ( organisation of two exhibitions per year). With a membership of 240, the Association has, for several years, been bringing other means of expression to the Château through organisation of a book fair in the autumn and ‘winter evenings’ (concerts, theatre, etc.) during the period when the Château is normally closed.
